THE SPELLO

STYLE- The holiday property occupies the south side of the tastefully renovated barn. The property features locally crafted chestnut window frames, traditional terracotta tiled floors and a bespoke kitchen.

TERRACE- shady and tree-lined overlooking the rolling hills and Umbrian countryside. There is a gas BBQ, an umbrella, table and chairs.

GROUNDS- The terrace is surrounded by herbs; rosemary, bay and lavender scent the air...The spectacular views are framed by leafy trees.

BEDROOMS- 1 bedroom - with a king-sized bed. (Quality linens and comfortable mattresses are standard)

BATHROOMS- 1 bathroom - with a shower, basin, bidet and WC. There is good water pressure and constant hot water.

KITCHEN- A well equipped artisan kitchen with a dishwasher, gas hob, oven and a large fridge-freezer.

LIVING-The open plan living room, has a range of comfortable sofas, WIFI and a TV/DVD.

DINING- There is a dining table inside to seat 2, and another table on the terrace.

POOLSIDE- Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.


The property is furnished to a high standard, combining handmade furniture with period pieces and modern comfortable soft furnishings.

The Spello, a charming property in the Granaio, has recently been converted into a luxury holiday property with a south facing terrace and stunning views of the Apennines.

The property has been tastefully renovated and features hand-crafted chestnut window frames, French windows, traditional tiled floors, a bespoke kitchen and a bedroom with a comfortable bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom.

French doors lead from the Spello’s private terrace which is planted with flowers and fragrant herbs, to a light open plan dining and sitting room.

There is a dining table and chairs to seat 2, a sitting room with a comfortable leather sofa, a CD player, TV/DVD and a large picture window with stunning views of the hills to the south.

The kitchen is hand-crafted by local artisans and is well equipped with a dishwasher, gas hob, full size oven and large fridge freezer.

An archway leads to the bedroom with a hand crafted wrought iron king size bed and a luxury bathroom.

The bathroom is well designed and features a luxury power shower, bidet, basin and WC. (The bathroom can be accessed without going through the bedroom)

The Spello’s terrace is the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views. The terrace has a sitting area with shade from the surrounding trees, an umbrella, table, chairs and gas BBQ grill. The terrace is surrounded by fragrant herbs such as bay, rosemary, sage and lavender.


FACILITIES

Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.

There is a selection of outdoor activities available, such as badminton, boules, ping pong and bikes. There is also a children’s play area with swing and climbing frame, mini football goal, a sand pit and a small paddling pool with toys for young children.

Bed linen, towels, pool towels, and electricity are included. The property is fully centrally heated. (Additional weekly charge applied for use of heating)

Assisi with its’ stunning cathedral and St Franciscan story.
The medieval hill town of Gubbio is know as Umbria’s Siena and is still a true working town
Perugia is a picturesque 35 minute drive – there are many festivities year round and great museums.

AROUND 40 MINS from the villa
The hill top town of Spello – famous for its olive oil and flower festival
Lake Trasimeno – where the battle of Hannibal took place – take a boat trip to the island
The Monte Cucco National Park – hiking, hang and para gliding – breathtaking views
The beautiful Adriatic coast is around 1 hour drive – Sirolo and Fanno offer lovely beaches and yummy seafood!

Rome is an easy 2.5 hour train ride away – perfect for a day trip
Florence can be reached by train from Perugia – a great way to see the Umbrian-Tuscan scenery.
Siena is just 1.5 hour pleasant drive –through rolling hills and Umbrian farmlands
Deruta – heaven for Umbrian pottery enthusiasts is a short drive away.
Todi, Orvieto, Montefalco and Montalcino and Bevagna are all close by and make perfect day trip destinations.
The Mall – One of the top designer Fashion outlet malls in central Italy is on the main route to Florence
