THE MONTEFALCO (FOR 4)

STYLE- The property occupies the south side of the tastefully renovated barn. The property features locally crafted chestnut window frames, traditional terracotta tiled floors and a bespoke kitchen.

TERRACE- shady and rose-lined overlooking the rolling hills and Umbrian countryside. There is a gas BBQ, an umbrella, table and chairs.

GROUNDS- The terrace is surrounded by herbs; rosemary, bay and lavender scent the air...The spectacular views are framed by leafy trees.

BEDROOMS- 2 bedrooms - 1 with a king-sized bed, 1 with 2 large single beds. (Quality linens and comfortable mattresses are standard)

BATHROOMS- 2 en-suite bathrooms - one with a shower over the bath the other with a shower, basins, bidet and WC. There is good water pressure and constant hot water.

KITCHEN- A well equipped artisan kitchen with a dishwasher, gas hob, oven,a large fridge-freezer and microwave.

LIVING-The open plan living room, has a range of comfortable sofas, WIFI and a TV/DVD.

DINING- There is a dining table inside to seat 4, and another family sized table on the terrace.

POOLSIDE- Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.

The property is furnished to a high standard, combining handmade furniture with period pieces and modern comfortable soft furnishings.

The Montefalco occupies the south west of the Granaio. The property has recently been converted into a luxury holiday property with a south facing terrace and stunning views of the Apennines.

The property has been tastefully renovated and features artisan chestnut windows, double opening chestnut glass doors, traditional terracotta tiled floors, a bespoke kitchen, two bedrooms with comfortable beds and two en-suite bathrooms.

Double French doors lead from the Montefalco’s leafy private terrace to a light open plan dining and sitting room.

There is a dining table and chairs to seat 4, a sitting area with comfortable leather sofas, a TV and DVD player and a large picture window with stunning views of the hills to the south.

The kitchen is hand-crafted by local artisans and is well equipped with a dishwasher, gas hob, full size oven and fridge freezer.

A charming archway leads to two separate bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms feature handmade and antique furniture. Bedroom 1 has a king size locally crafted wrought iron bed, bedroom 2 has two large handmade single beds.

The bathrooms are well designed and both feature power showers, bidets, basins and WCs.

The Montefalco’s private terrace is the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views. There is a large sitting area with shade from the surrounding trees, an umbrella, table, chairs and gas BBQ grill. The leafy terrace is surrounded by flowers and a fragrant herb garden with bay, lavender, thyme, rosemary and sage.

FACILITIES

Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.

There is a selection of outdoor activities available, such as badminton, boules, ping pong and bikes. There is also a children’s play area with swing and climbing frame, mini football goal, a sand pit and a small paddling pool with toys for young children.

Bed linen, towels, pool towels, and electricity are included. The property is fully centrally heated. (Additional weekly charge applied for use of heating)

Rome is an easy 2.5 hour train ride away – perfect for a day trip
Florence can be reached by train from Perugia – a great way to see the Umbrian-Tuscan scenery.
Siena is just 1.5 hour pleasant drive –through rolling hills and Umbrian farmlands
Deruta – heaven for Umbrian pottery enthusiasts is a short drive away.
Todi, Orvieto, Montefalco and Montalcino and Bevagna are all close by and make perfect day trip destinations.
