THE CASCINA (FOR 8)

STYLE- Traditional Umbrian - rustic charm with modern luxuries -stone walls, hand-built archways, terracotta floors - traditional character features.

TERRACE- A lovely shaded terrace with a pergola overlooks the picturesque views and hillside towards the medieval town of Gubbio. There is a gas BBQ, sun loungers and a family-size table and chairs.

GROUNDS- The terrace is surrounded by herbs, rosemary, bay and lavender scent the air...The spectacular views of Gubbio and beyond are framed by old majestic oaks and acacia.

BEDROOMS- 4 bedrooms - 2 each with a king-sized bed, 2 each with 2 large single beds. (Quality linens and comfortable mattresses are standard)

BATHROOMS- 4 bathrooms - 3 en-suite with walk-in showers (1 bathroom also has a separate bath tub) and an additional downstairs bathroom has a shower, basin and WC. There is good water pressure and constant hot water.

KITCHEN- A well equipped artisan kitchen with a dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine plenty of work space and a large fridge with freezer compartment.

LIVING-An archway leads to the separate living room, which has stone walls and traditional tiled ceilings, a range of comfortable sofas and armchairs, WIFI and a TV/DVD.

DINING- A second archway leads to the dining room which has exposed stone walls and a large farmhouse table that seats 10.

POOLSIDE- Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.

The villa is furnished to a high standard, combining handmade furniture with period pieces and modern comfortable soft furnishings.

DETAILS

The property features original oak beams, terracotta ceilings, artisan chestnut window frames, traditional tiled floors, a bespoke kitchen, 4 double-size bedrooms with comfortable beds and four generous bathrooms.

Traditional solid chestnut doors lead from the Cascina’s private terrace to the large kitchen. The bespoke kitchen was hand-built by local artisans and has beautiful original stone walls.

Bedroom 3 is a double-size lower floor room with views to the north, 2 large hand-worked cast iron single beds and a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in power shower, bidet, basin and WC.

A dramatic terracotta staircase with traditional wrought iron railings leads to the upper floor landing and the 3 additional bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 is a very large room with views to the west, 1 king-size brass bed and a large en-suite bathroom with a separate bath, walk in power shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Bedroom 4 is a double room, enjoys views to the west, has a 2 large, single wrought iron beds and uses the downstairs bathroom with power shower, basin and WC.

Bedroom 2 enjoys views to the east, has a king-size brass bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in power shower, views to the south, bidet, basin and WC.

FACILITIES

Guests have use of our large swimming pool, which boasts stunning, infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and a good range of pool furniture.

There is a selection of outdoor activities available, such as badminton, boules, ping pong and bikes. There is also a children’s play area with swing and climbing frame, mini football goal, a sand pit and a small paddling pool with toys for young children.

Bed linen, towels, pool towels, and electricity are included. The property is fully centrally heated. (Additional weekly charge applied for use of heating)
